Live with Wonder and Joy
My desire is to create art that leads you on a journey of curiosity, that awakens your imagination and inspires you to look at the world around you with wonder and joy! Even as we walk through times of darkness, I believe there exists inside each of us a capacity for delight to help guide our way; it is there, but we must train our hearts and minds to look for it. As I paint, my prayer is that my art will take you to a place of joy and help you find the courage to face the world with peace and hope.
Dance into Spring
“Dance Into Spring” is an expressionist floral oil painting series which celebrates the joy and beauty of a garden. The invitation to dance is a reminder to happily move through your world with energy and delight. Even in the dark times, there is room and reason to dance—and I would say beauty and dancing brings light to the darkness. I create dark spaces in my botanical paintings to remind us that “Joy comes in the morning” (Psalm 30:5).
Whether it is Spring, Summer, Fall or Winter, a painting from the “Dance into Spring” series will lift your spirits.
